Brett & Kelsey Leis ventured to remote & uninhabited Crab Island, located off the coast of Cape York in northern Australia, to live and work with the flatback sea turtles and saltwater crocodiles.
Crab Island, located in remote northern Australia, is the largest nesting rookery in the World for the rare Flatback Sea Turtle. It is a hostile island, where few people have ventured, largely due to it's reputation for large saltwater crocodiles. In 2007 Brett & Kelsey Leis embarked on a research project over several years discovering the secrets of the turtles & crocodiles. What they found has since lead to documentaries by National Geographic & BBC.
