Prehistoric Battle...

A fascinating aspect of the project has been the opportunity to witness the interaction between saltwater crocodiles and sea turtles. While crocodiles have been recorded predating on sea turtles elsewhere previously, it is generally rare and opportunistic with few records available. However on Crab Island I am starting to get the feeling that there is a real reliance on the turtles as a food source and a lot more are being taken than is observed. I think in time we will discover something very unique - an island of living dinosaurs in a real battle of nature..
